A Poem To My Future Baby

Dear sweet little angel

I have written this poem just for you

I think about you daily, and dream about you every night

We play and laugh in our own beautiful moment in time

And when I wake up, it is hard to not see you next to me

You stay in Heaven, while I come back to reality

But I know when the moment is right, our destiny and fate will meet as one

My precious little angel, how I long for that special day

My world will turn around and finally have a whole different meaning

Nothing will compare to the happiness I will find in you

I cannot wait to feel my arms around you so innocent and fair

A little piece of Heaven will be sent down to me

What a miracle and blessing I will be holding someday

I promise to cherish and love you with all of my heart

My own little me, it is hard to believe

That life will be so kind to me

What I wish to give you in times to come

Happiness, and wisdom, and a life filled with fun

As long as time will want to keeps us together

I will never leave your side

Something tells me I will never know that I could love so much

Until the day I feel your touch

Saying Good-bye to Cambridge Again

Very quietly I take my leave,
As quietly as I came here;
Quietly I wave good-bye,
To the rosy clouds in the western sky.

The golden willows by the riverside,
Are young brides in the setting sun;
Their reflections on the shimmering waves,
Always linger in the depth of my heart.

The floating heart growing in the sludge,
Sways leisurely under the water;
In the gentle waves of Cambridge,
I would be a water plant!

That pool under the shade of elm trees,
Holds not water but the rainbow from the sky;
Shattered to pieces among the duckweeds,
Is the sediment of a rainbow-like dream.

To seek a dream? Just to pole a boat upstream,
To where the green grass is more verdant;
Or to have the boat fully loaded with starlight,
And sing aloud in the splendor of starlight.

But I cannot sing aloud,
Quietness is my farewell music;
Even summer insects keep silence for me,
Silent is Cambridge tonight!

Very quietly I take my leave,
As quietly as I came here;
Gently I flick my sleeves,
Not even a wisp of cloud will I bring away.

Rainbow of Colors

I decided to make my mom a basket of flowers as her gift for Mother’s Day! I went to my favorite flower nursery store and started picking out flowers and boy was it hard to choose, they all looked so beautiful. I knew I wanted a pink and purple theme so I tried to see which ones would match together. It took a little while to decide which ones I wanted, but I love decorating and doing crafty things so I could do this all day really 🙂 I took some picture of some of my favorite flowers that stood out to me, I wish I could of used them all!

I could not be any happier my basket came out just as how I envisioned it! I bought the basket and little butterflies at Michael’s, I always like to add a nice little decorations to my projects. I am so happy on how it turned out 🙂 I hope you all had a beautiful day with your Mom’s!

Elegance and Flawless

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge slipped into full-on glam mode on Friday evening to attend a gala in support of the 2012 London Olympics. Everyone’s eyes zoomed in on Kate’s sheer Jenny Packham gown, which mostly comprised green lace on the back, her matching clutch and Cinderella shoes. Kate amazed the crowd as she came out of the car in this stunning turquoise dress! This is also one of the first times that she has her hair pulled back and I must say it looks really pretty on her, she can pull of any hairstyle really. I love this color on her, she chose the perfect bright tone for the spring. It was also nice to see Kate’s pedicure 🙂 she wore open toe shoes and I must say they look like Cinderella shoes! When I grow up, I want to be just like her 🙂

Happy Mother’s Day

I would like to take this moment to say ~Feliz Dia De Las Madres to my Mom~!! In Mexico, Mother’s Day is always celebrated on May 10. Mother’s Day in Mexico is celebrated in a colorful fashion. Children honor their mothers and thank them for their efforts in bringing them up.

Recognized as “Dia De Las Madres,” the day is celebrated as churches in Mexico organize special mass. The highpoint of the event is the orchestra which plays “las mañanitas” and distribution of tamales and atole, the traditional early-morning meal to all local mothers. On Mother’s Day people in Mexico gift flowers and cards to their mothers. While the older children but gifts from the store the younger ones prepare handmade gifts to honor their mothers. In several schools mother’s day functions are organized where little ones present skits and songs to express their gratitude for their mothers and to entertain them.

I wish all of your beautiful and wonderful Mother’s a very Happy Mother’s Day!! Make her feel special and remind her how much you care and love her!

Destination of the Week: Fernando de Noronha, Brazil

Fernando de Noronha is a beautiful archipelago with pristine beaches, landscapes and wildlife, situated 220 miles off the northeastern coast in Brazil. The archipelago was discovered by Amerigo Vespucci in 1503 and temporarily occupied by the Dutch and French before Portugal established dominion in 1737. Today only the largest of the 21 islands is inhabited with a population of about 3,500. Its  pristine beaches, landscapes and wildlife attract tourists. The easiest way to get around is by bus which goes back and forth along the main road from the Port on one end of the island to Praia de Sueste on the other.  Another option is to hitchhike as almost all the local people and sometimes the taxi drivers or truck drivers will be happy to pick you up and give you a ride if you are going in their direction. The island offers boat tours, dolphin watching, kayak tours and you can even go surfing!

To All Of The Dog Lovers Out There

A dog is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog.  You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and  true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of  such devotion. Dogs have given us their absolute all. We are the center of their universe, we are the focus of their love and faith and trust!

Hair and Nutrition

If you are like me and always buy and try new products on your hair to have that perfect shine, then you will enjoy this article. Instead of purchasing and spending so much money on hair products, why not eat healthier so your hair grows out looking beautiful. Here are a couple of foods that you eat can work magic on your hair to help keep your locks shiny, full, and healthy!

Protein: More than 90 percent of your hair is made up of protein, so you need to have enough protein in your diet to support hair growth. Foods such as meat, poultry, fish, eggs, and dairy products are high in protein. Vegetarians can get protein from plant sources such as soybeans, seeds, and nuts.

Beta-carotene: This antioxidant can help your body synthesize protein, may encourage hair growth, and may help prevent hair loss. Look for it in lots of fruits and vegetables, especially orange ones.

Vitamin A: Vitamin A fosters scalp health. Many orange fruits and vegetables cantaloupe, apricots, squash, sweet potatoes, and carrots  are good sources of vitamin A, as is broccoli.

Biotin: A biotin deficiency can leave your scalp itchy and scaly. To help keep your scalp healthy, choose biotin-rich meats, fish, eggs, dairy foods, nuts, whole grains, and molasses.

Vitamin E: This antioxidant vitamin helps your cells repair themselves and facilitates your body’s synthesis of protein; it also encourages hair growth and aids in circulation. It is plentiful in green vegetables, olive oil, whole grains, beans, nuts, and avocados.

Vitamin K: This vitamin can promote hair health. Find it in seafood, eggs, liver, dairy products, green vegetables, figs, cabbage, oatmeal, yogurt, and wheat.

Para-aminobenzoic acid: This nutrient might help stave off gray hair. Look for it in yogurt, whole grains, and some organ meats.

Minerals: A range of minerals, including trace minerals, can help promote hair growth and protect against hair breakage. Key among them are silica, calcium, iron, copper, and zinc. These minerals are found in a broad range of unprocessed foods, including meats, seafood, nuts, seeds, liver, eggs, rice, oats, whole-grain cereals, sunflower seeds, lettuce, onion, cauliflower, cabbage, cucumber, bean sprouts, leafy green vegetables, strawberries, dates, and raisins. Organic foods frequently have higher concentrations of trace minerals than conventionally grown foods.

Underwater ‘Discus’ Hotel Planned For Dubai!

Building company Drydocks World has signed a contract with a Swiss firm to develop a string of underwater hotels around Dubai, including the planned “Water Discus Hotel,” news.com.au reports. The planned hotel will feature 21 rooms, a dive center and a bar, all 32 feet below the surface of the ocean. Each guest room will feature special lighting, creating optimal light for guests to photograph the sea life around them.

The hotel will have two main “discs”–one below and one above the water — which will be connected by three legs that will feature stairways and elevators enabling guests to hit the ocean in a unique way. This project has seven different types of designs and (each will cost in) the range of around $50 million to $120 million!
